Meeting For Worship

We meet at 10:30 am on Sundays at the Headway Centre  in Tunbridge Wells. Meeting for Worship normally lasts an hour, followed by (non-compulsory) tea and coffee.

We also meet on alternate Fridays from 11:30 to 12:15 at a private residence in central Tunbridge Wells. You're just as welcome to this one - but due to security issues we don't put the address online. Please get in touch with us if you're interested in coming!

Meeting for Worship is conducted mostly in silence, while we wait and listen for the promptings of 'that of God in everyone', which sometimes lead someone to speak. Anyone can speak at any time (although we try to leave silence between spoken contributions to allow us time to absorb what has been said).

If you would like to know more about Meeting For Worship, what happens in it and why, we recommend the Quaker website, www.quaker.org, and specifically this summary.
